Outside of work, Kang-Il rarely socializes with others. Firefighter Kang-Il was also at the hospital when the wife, who was misdiagnosed by Mi-Soo, became gravely ill. His boss ordered Kang-Il to follow the husband and to make sure he doesn't do anything rash. The husband eventually confronts Kang-Il and assaults him.
Later, Mi-Soo learns of the incident between firefighter Kang-Il and the husband. She concocts a plan to cozy up to the firefighter, in hopes of enlisting him in her legal defense. Little does she know, she isn't dealing with an ordinary fellow and she just may have found her true love.

The man's name is Chul Soo and is he the foreman at the construction site. Soo-Jin begins to fall for Chul Soo and begins to woo him. A relationship develops and Soo-Jin and Chul Soo eventually marries.
Life seems great for the couple, with Chul Soo designing their dream house and Su-Jin learning to become a housewife. As time passes, however, Su-Jin begins to display forgetfulness, including an incident in which a fire breaks out because of a stove she'd forgotten to turn off. While Chul Soo caught the fire in time, the seriousness of the incident and others like it lead them to seek medical help.
Sun-Jin is diagnosed with a rare form of Alzheimer's disease.
This movie is based on the 2001 Japanese television drama Pure Soul & won Best Adapted Screenplay at the 2005 Grand Bell Awards.

Synopsis : The plot draws on No Gun Ri victims' experiences, but the characters are all fictional. In the ensuing chaos, U.S. soldiers force hundreds of survivors into the underpass of a railroad bridge, and receive orders to fire on them, despite one soldier's communication to his superiors that they're only civilians. Over the next three days, in heart-wrenching scenes of carnage, most of the refugees are killed. The few survivors, mostly children, emerge from under piles of bodies as the Americans retreat and advancing North Korean soldiers discover the gruesome scene. Gi-Tae's father then asks Hee-Joon to find Dong-Yoon, who has now dropped out of school completely. What happened to these three former best friends?
